The Key to Releasing Your Potential

The Key to Releasing Your Potential

How many times have you created a package and never made a sale?

It feels horrible! That little voice in your head pipes up and starts weaving stories of fear, self-doubt, and failure.

It throws you into a loop of frantic action to try to logically make things better. You do and do and do until you are exhausted and you still don’t feel better and nothing actually changed.

The cure? Do nothing.

Doing nothing is the key to releasing your potential, and can be really unpleasant for our ego. But it is in the stillness that we can hear our inner guidance.

Be still and receive.

It is natural to want to clear up uncomfortable situations and find solutions. But sometimes the solution can’t be born from a place of logic and action.

The next time you are seeking a solution from a place of fear, take a deep breath, and remember this:

Mother Earth does not push and strive to create. She takes her time and the end result is always beautiful.

When you look at an area of bushland what do you see? On the surface, it looks like not much is happening.

If you look deeper you will notice that it is alive with activity. Birds flying, insects on plants, the wind gently caressing the leaves, leaves floating towards the ground, roots pushing up through the soil. SO much going on yet the energy is clear, peaceful, and purposeful.

I call this ‘peaceful activity.’

When you approach your work from a place of peaceful activity, magic happens. If you become aware that you are no longer operating from a place of peaceful activity and have tipped over into more tense energy then it’s time for a break to bring yourself back into alignment.

Only return to your task once you are feeling realigned with the flow of things.

My two favourite ways for a quick alignment break are a cup of herbal tea with my bare feet on the earth or to watch a few minutes of my favourite show on Netflix.

Here are a few more ways you can bring yourself back into alignment to release your potential:

  • A cup of your favourite tea
  • Grounding with your bare feet on the earth
  • Watch a few minutes of your favourite show
  • Write down 3 things you are grateful for
  • EFT/Tapping
  • Journaling
  • Practice forgiveness (Ho’oponopono)
  • Guided visualisations
  • Meditation
  • Rest/sleep
