More and more people build their businesses online in the quest for a better lifestyle. This means that the need for Virtual Assistants has grown in popularity.
I wanted to address the issue of being let down by their VA. It is important to understand that not every Virtual Assistant is created equal. A Virtual Assistant is an individual with their individual skills.
The Virtual Assistance industry is broad and covers an enormous range of skills from website development to basic email editing. It is unreasonable to expect your Virtual Assistant to know every skill and system required to run your business. If you are willing to help train them (or allow them to train themselves) and are able to communicate effectively. Working with teams, breeds rewards from your effort and time. One who is loyal and can run your business backend smoothly and effectively.
Before you hire a Virtual Assistant
It is important to understand:
- What it is you want your Virtual Assistant to help you with. This determines the skills you’ll require in order to be an effective and appreciated member of your team
- How you are going to communicate and delegate your tasks to your VA. I recommend using Trello
- What questions you will need to ask your potential new VA when you are interviewing them for the position
If you aren’t sure how Virtual Assistants can help or what tasks you could hand over to them. I have created this free download that outlines
Deciding on your Virtual Assistant
I always recommend you meet ‘face to face’ with your potential VA because you get a feel for that person. How you communicate and if they have the skills you are looking to add to your business. If all of these things come together then away you go! If your gut instinct tells you that the person is not the right fit for you, don’t ignore it. Keep looking. The right person is out there for you.
Tarryn Reeves – a Virtual Assistance Agency
There are some businesses out there who have evolved into Virtual Assistance Agencies. These businesses have a team of skilled Virtual Assistants who are placed in their area of expertise. We here at Tarryn Reeves are one such example.
We have a team of Virtual Assistants who are ready to take on all of the different skills and systems required to run the back end of your business. Our Virtual Assistants are carefully watched over by me and all work is quality checked before it goes out to our clients. It is important to me that the Virtual Assistants who work for Zimpasha are assigned tasks that they are skilled in and enjoy and this shines through in the final result.
The benefits to hiring a company such as ours is that you get to talk to and delegate your tasks to a single person (in this case, me) and then the work is carried out by a team of professionals best suited to complete each project. At Tarryn Reeves we aim to be a one stop shop for our clients to help them manage the administrative side of their business so that they can get on with doing the things that bring money into their business.
